If you are in your junior year then you need not worry too much about what to wear on career day since you will only be on the lookout for future opportunities and do not need to land a job as of yet. The DOs: Look dashing in a suit. Suggested colors are dark grey, navy blue, and black. Take your suit to the cleaners before college career day so you can make sure that suit is clean and there are no frays or loose buttons.
Look neat with a white button-down shirt. A white shirt will provide contrast with the dark colored suit and will go well with any necktie.
Look professional with a tie. You need not buy an expensive necktie. A simple tie with small prints or stripes will suffice to make you look professional.
Wear dress shoes and a leather belt that matches your shoe color. Black or dark brown is advisable. Make sure that your shoes are clean and shiny and that you are wearing dark colored socks.
Grooming is of course important so make sure you shower and feel fresh. It would be advisable to have a hair cut a few days before the event and cut your nails as well. You will want to have clean and dry hands before giving your interviewer a firm handshake.
