Do not make your article a thinly veiled sales pitch.
Article publishers and distributors will reject your article if it is nothing more than a thinly veiled sales letter. Many coaches try to write an article that does not benefit the reader but instead is a sales letter written in paragraph form. Publishers will reject this type of article because it will drive away reader who are looking for actionable and useful information.
Use articles to show off your expertise and knowledge rather than making a sales pitch. People want more of what you have to offer when they see that you have useful and actionable information. Share information that helps your reader and potential coaching client overcome challenges and reach desired goals.
Do not put links in your article body.
Putting links in the body of your article will hinder your chances of getting your article published by publishers and distributors. You can use key words in your coaching articles but do not over do by cramming extra keywords in every sentence. If your topic is hot and your information is valuable then readers will want more and they will be inclined to find more information from you at your website.
I like to write my articles in a way that delivers valuable information and tells people what they may want to do but I seldom tell readers exactly how to do it. I give tips and actionable information but never a complete game plan. There is a delicate balance that must be struck so that as a coach, you help people with the information you coach without giving away your services.
Do not write an article that is weak on information.
Your article needs to offer information that is in high demand and actionable. Readers want to what they can do now to overcome a challenge or to reach a goal. The goal is to have potential coaching clients wanting more of what you have to offer them. If you are truly passionate about your target coaching niche, then you will be able to write many, many articles on topics that interest your potential coaching cients. They can get that information in several ways and you need to let them know exactly how to get more information with what you include in your resource box.
