We have to face a lot of unwanted situations and make a lot of compromises, meet a lot of unwanted people and say a lot of unflattering things. However, ultimately when we reach where we want to, it all seems worth it.
Then there are those individuals who are born philanthropists. Personal success and happiness is not the ultimate for them. They want to make a contribution, a greater difference to the world; to the people around them. For these people life is not just about the good times. Spreading happiness and making someone else's life better off is the higher goal.
However, in order to achieve such a feat it is obvious that one needs to take necessary actions. It is not enough to just envision a change. Working towards the change is what matters in the end.
Why you should take action:
- It is good to have a thirst for knowledge. Learning should never become 'enough' for anyone. But if you don't put this learning to any use, it becomes a sort of hoarding. Like savings are of no use in an economy unless they are invested, knowledge is useless if the owner does not put it into practice.
- It is mandatory to plan the course of action before taking a step towards an achievement. But there comes a point when the planning becomes sufficient and you are ready to put it to work. There is no use for a plan that is not being put to action. Such plans are a waste of time and resources.
- Of course every action has its consequences and risk factors. Through planning we should try to eliminate the maximum amount of possible risks. But it is necessary to take the plunge after such extensive preparation. In fact, unless you do something, you will never know the reality. It is by doing that you learn more. Therefore, knowledge also depends upon how you use it.
All plans have motives. They all lead to success in various fields. Similarly all plans have their share of loopholes and possibility of failure. However, if the difficulty quotient or the fear of failure stops you from working on the plan, then there is no use of planning in the first place. It is very important to overcome fear, insecurity and laziness, and actually do something. It doesn't matter if you fail. What is important is that you tried doing something to bring about a change. There are very few people who invest any time into working to bring about a change in the world they live in.
Self-indulgence has consumed most of us in our lives. Hence, for those who want to do something for a higher ideal, they should surpass the planning period and enter the take off stage. Otherwise, it doesn't make a difference to the world.
