Water from outside the home can get in these places and cause water damage not so different from a leaking pipe. Every time it rains your home could be having water get in one of these places. Sometimes these places are the worst because the water might not be noticed for long periods of time and could have caused extensive damage before it is found. Just remember that inspecting your home is essential to stay ahead of water issues that could end up costing you thousands of dollars or a major insurance claim.
