Not everyone wants to carry their digital camera around with them wherever they go. Cameras can be a bit clunky, and they can be pretty inconvenient. Depending on the type of camera you have, starting it up and getting it ready alone is already time consuming enough. Plus, if you like to keep your camera safe from normal wear and tear in your pocket or your purse, you most likely store it in a camera case. Taking the camera out of the case is even more inconvenient and takes time to load. If you are trying to take a picture of a moving object, it might already be gone by the time you get it ready to go!

As useful as digital cameras are, it comes as no surprise that camera phones can often replace their larger, complete counterparts, especially if you are on the go. Most people would not even think to use their camera phone for capturing those special moments, but some devices can almost rival the quality of some digital cameras. While most cell phones offer anywhere from 2 to 3 megapixels, some cell phones, such as Nokia's N95 and N82, Sony Ericsson's K850i, and Samsung's G800, feature 5 megapixels.

So what are some ways you can take awesome pictures with your camera phone?
1. As is true with both the camera phone and a regular camera, take lots of pictures. You can't always take that perfect picture the first time around, so you will need to take many and pick and choose from the list.

2. Try different angles. Go on. Try it. While shooting in the traditional horizontal and vertical ways can produce some great pictures, tilting your camera phone just a little bit can add a whole lot of zing to the photo, especially if you are taking pictures of

3. Set your phone's resolution to its maximum setting. Most phones offer the user the ability to adjust the resolution on their photos so that more pictures at a lower resolution can be stored. If you want the best resolution, just kick it up to its maximum.

4. Don't shake! Keep those hands steady by holding the phone up with one hand and then using the other hand to hold your arm up. Keep both arms even steadier by keeping them as close to your body as possible for added support.

5. Move in close. As much as possible, move in close to your subject to get all the details and snap the photo at their level. If it's your companion pet that you are taking a picture of, get down to their eye level to capture a more engaging shot.
