Have you had a lot of rainy days lately? We need rainfall, but sometimes it is just too much. When this happens you could receive flood water. This is when the ground becomes so waterlogged that it has no where to go. As this water rises, it will start to move into places you might not want it to go like into your basement, crawlspace, or under your doors. The more water there is the more likelihood of your receiving something besides water. You might find some animal that was washed away by this water.

If this water gets to running too fast, it can move almost anything that is in its path. It can move your parked car, you, and even your home. It can cause any animal to be sent down to an area that it does not belong in. It can knock down trees and the animals that live in them as well. All of these animals can become to make their way into the inside of your homes. These animals can become rather mean as they are as scared as you so if you happen to see any of them there just call the authorities and wait for them to remove these animals. Even if it is a cat or unknown dog as they might bite.

Check over the water damage from all of this water and then get with your insurance agent to see if they can help in getting someone to look over this damage to see if it is worth fixing. In some cases it might not be. They might tell you that it is a total loss in other words it would cost you more in repairs then the home is worth. If they think that this home is worth redoing then they will make all of the arrangements even help you find a place to stay while the repairs are being done You will be happy that you had the right amount of coverage as you will have your home back again.

In some ways you might even be able to have them change some of the things in this home. Like you might see if they can stick on another room or leave one one wall to enlarge one of the rooms. If you had been planning on making a few changes to your bathroom this might be the right time to have it done.
