Aaah, it's that time again. It's your not-so-little-anymore cousin's 16th birthday. It's your grandmother's birthday. It's your co-worker's surprise going-away bash for your boss (who everyone in the office pretends to like). It's your and your significant other's 5th year anniversary. Yes, it's that time again. Unless you are one of those people who have always had luck picking the right gift, then welcome to reality and the rest of the people who don't always pick the right gift for the right occasion.

There is, however, some hope. There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel because there are products that are so easy and universal that you cannot possibly go wrong this time around. Digital gadgets and electronics are in abundance, and it's time to utilize these products to your advantage. Whatever the occasion is, you will find something for that special someone regardless of their lifestyle.

The majority of people in this world love music. Even people who do not have a favorite musician or group can still appreciate music. One of the hottest gifts in the last few years has been Apple's iPod product line. Featuring innovative control and a simple but sleek appearance, the iPod has been pretty much dominating the market since it was first introduced. MP3s can be downloaded off of iTunes for a mere 99 cents per track or, in most cases, $9.99 to $13.99 per album, which is definitely less expensive than what you would normally pay for the soon-to-be-obsolete compact disc. Of course, any MP3 player is good, too.

What about a gift for Grandma's birthday? Well, she might not find an MP3 player or a Blu-Ray player very useful, but she will no doubt appreciate and love a digital photo frame. These photo frames show slides of pictures that you upload with a memory stick or an SD card, and some models even allow you to upload MP3s so that songs will play as the frame cycles through each photo.

If all else fails, there is always the trusty gift card to an electronics store. Again, it won't matter what kind of lifestyle the person leads (unless they're Amish, of course) because an electronics store offers so much more than your usual television and computer systems. Electronic retail giants like Best Buy and Fry's Electronics carry books, video games, computer peripherals and software, car audio stereos and accessories, and so much more. A gift card to one of these stores is like a big candy store to a little kid. Really.
