The truth is most are experiencing this indoor recklessness, but a small few are actually enjoying outdoor activity. These people live in places along the southern end of the country where the sun is constant and the outdoors is accessible.
St. George, Utah is one of these cities and is particularly well known and liked among its residents. With year round sunshine and incredible sights this is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation.
Located in the southwestern end of Utah, St. George is also only an hour and a half drive from famous Las Vegas. This makes it so residents get to live away from the city but can visit whenever they want.
Another fun place in close proximity is Zion National Park. Just 43 miles outside the city limits this park is a wonder to behold.
Tourists from all over the world come every year to see what this park has to offer. From its never ending cliffs to the majestic canyon walls this park never disappoints.
Living in St. George you could drive to the park for a day's visit or you could camp for an extended stay. Whatever you want it is within reach.
If you want something a little different than the red rocks of Zion National Park, there is a lush alternative to the north. The Pine Valley Mountains are a short drive out of the city and are a fun escape for any nature lover.
There are many different activities you can choose from in the Pine Valley Mountains thanks to its animal population and terrain. You and your friends can choose from hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, and hiking for a fun filled outing.
St. George is home to the ten best public golf courses in Utah. This is mostly in part due to the incredible weather St. George receives compared with the less than ideal frozen precipitation of the north.
Instead of sitting by the fireplace for a semblance of warmth you can be outside practicing your golf swing. Additionally, you can achieve a year round golf tan.
St. George hosts many professional shows and performances at its Tuacahn Ampitheatre. Framed by the famous red rock of the area the stage is a beautiful place where actors and actresses love to perform.
If you want a day filled with extreme fun then you can take advantage of the three water reservoirs nearby. On each one you can take out your motor boat and water skis to show the lake what you are made of.
One of these reservoirs, Sand Hollow, is actually located right next to some sand dunes. This means you can take the kids out for a day of boating and four wheeling all under the gracious sun.
With so many features and attractions it is no wonder so many people love St. George. It also makes sense then that people are not the only residents St. George has ever had.
A couple decades ago a local farmer was out in his field when he discovered what looked to be dinosaur prints. Experts verified that they were and the farm has since been donated to the city so all can come and see what these ancient inhabitants left.
Many businesses have seen the enormous benefit of existing in St. George. As more people move in, business grows greater and stronger.
In 2003 Intermountain Health Care built a $100 million facility. This hospital enables residents to get top quality health care within a quick drive down the road.
In addition to this, SkyWest Airlines has its headquarters in this city. They service the local airport so your friends and family can actually fly straight to the city.
Because so many people have wanted to move into St. George, real estate prices have become difficult to afford. The good news is though with the federal economy losing its footing real estate is finally becoming affordable again.
While the prices are lower than normal now is the perfect time to enter the St. George market. It is a great investment opportunity because it is guaranteed to go up again.
People will always want to move to St. George so you can feel confident in your investment. Although, if you are buying real estate here as an investment you need to be careful you will not fall in love and not be able to sell it back after a few years.
