My brother and I were visiting my Uncle in Overland Park for the summer when I got a call from my mom asking us if we had tried the pizza of Overland Park. I told her we did not really know any the local places except the chain names. She asked why we had not asked her brother about a good place to go.

I explained that her brother had become a vegan and did not eat pizza any more. She could not believe it and she reminded me to use yellow pages to find a good place. I logged onto the website, and clicked on pizza restaurant under the top categories choice towards the bottom of the website.

From here, I navigated my search to Overland Park, Kansas. At last, when I clicked on business listings, a number of choices came up on the search results. Mom was certainly right, from the list that came up; we found several local pizza restaurants that we could feel confident about trying.

I told my brother and we ordered pizza for the first time since we had arrived. The pizza showed up and it was great. Both of us felt that Overland Park pizza pie was perhaps the best we had had in a long time. My uncle came home and found us with the pizza. He asked how we had made our choice about the place.

I told him about local search. I explained how the search results were created differently than other search engines. Instead of letting a business influence how the results were determined by paying an extra fee, Yellow pages uses information from other people in the local area that is based on how these people spend their money.

The more people favor a site, the higher the results will be. My uncle was impressed and he promised that he would try the site the next time he needed something special. I told her we were not really any local place names except chain know. She asked why we had not asked her brother to be a good place to go.

My uncle came home and we are with pizza. He asked how we made decisions about the country. I told him about yellow pages. I explained how different the results of other search engines are created.

Instead of hiring a business that affected the outcome is determined by the payment of additional tax, the yellow pages using information from other people in the local area based on the way these people spend their money.
