Another airline has joined the race for the flight to Malta market, putting pressure on the low cost airlines already operating to Malta to further reduce their prices to stay ahead of their competition - all good news for consumers and the Malta hotels and holidays industry.

Air Malta has seen a host of competitors enter her traditional markets. But just as Malta prepares for a bumper 2008 holiday season, the airline has staged a revival.

Malta's national airline has had a rough ride in the last couple of years as new airlines have started competing on the same routes. But the airline is fighting back and has put together a deal which will see her carry more holidaymakers to Malta in 2008.
