Driving and texting has turned into such an issue that the state of North Carolina has now banned it completely from being allowed. In fact, if a police officer catches you doing this while you drive, you will get a ticket for it.

Ironically, I just received a Blackberry phone from my mother as a gift and had been spending some time trying to figure out all of the features as well as how it works.
