I thought it would be a great scrapbook idea to make a page layout of a day I spent with my family on a local farm. I had the wonderful picture of a cow and really wanted some cow print scrapbook paper as the background.

Pictures and photos are the basis for any scrapbook page layout. Although colour photos give a sense of realism it is well worth experimenting with black and white photos which will give your scrapbook pages a timeless look.

Craft punches come in all different shapes and sizes, the smaller ones are great for punching out small images.

Wikipedia defines scrapbook as “Scrapbooking is a method for preserving a legacy of written history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks”. While the photographs, printed media and memorabilia make it distinct, the “decorated” part identifies the project as a scrapbook as opposed to a basic notebook.
