Books with terrorism as a plot line seem to be the favored genre of the 00's. Certainly much has been made by the press of the concept that terrorists could attempt to detonate a dirty bomb in some densely populated place like New York.

7 years after the atrocity of 9/11, Americans may know more details about what happened that tragic early autumn day, but we still have trouble fathoming how religious extremists could commit such a calculated, monstrous attack on thousands of innocent, unsuspecting people.

Although terrorism has always been there, 9/11 showed us the scale of carnage that modern terrorism can cause. Release of poisonous gas in a Tokyo subway has further fueled fears about our vulnerability and shown another facet of terrorism.

We've been taught violence is a taboo subject. The results of being ignorant of the realities of violence are devastating. If you view violence as merely a tool available to everyone you can seriously improve your personal protection.
